Cookie policy

Cookie policy

What gets stored in your browser when you visit vorne.ro, why, and how to control it.

Last updated:

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. They do not run programs and cannot read other files on your device.

We use them for two distinct purposes, treated differently below: some are strictly necessary for the site to work, others help us understand how it is used.

Strictly necessary cookies

The site does not work without these, so we do not ask for consent to set them — the basis is providing the service you asked for, under Article 4(5) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004.

Session and sign-in
keep you signed in for the length of your visit and carry you from one checkout step to the next. They are cleared when the session ends or you sign out.
Basket
remember what you have added, so it does not disappear as you move between pages.
Theme preference
remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the site, so it does not flip on every page.
Security
protect forms against submissions forged from other sites (CSRF).

Analytics cookies

On vorne.ro we use Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-QEFKZ4GZC7. Analytics cookies are only set once you accept them in the cookie banner; until then no analytics cookie is placed. You can withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie settings", and the cookies already set are deleted at that point.

To understand which pages are useful and where visitors get stuck we use a single analytics tool: Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

These cookies collect the pages you view, how long you stay, where you arrived from and general device characteristics. The data is aggregated and does not let us identify you personally. IP addresses are anonymised, and the retention period is 14 months at most.

The legal basis is your consent — Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can refuse or withdraw it at any time, and the site loses no function if you do.

Third-party cookies

Apart from the analytics provider named above we integrate no advertising networks and set no marketing or retargeting cookies.

Content embedded from other providers — a video player or a map, say — may set its own cookies. Where we use such an element, it is visible on the page in question.

How to control cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will make signing in and completing an order impossible.

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site data.
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.

Separately, you can switch off Google Analytics measurement across every site by installing the opt-out add-on Google provides:

Changes

We update this policy whenever we add or remove a tool that sets cookies. The date of the last revision is shown at the top.

Read it alongside the privacy policy, which sets out in full what data we process and what rights you have:
